Hong Tan, PhD, Founder and Chief Executive Office of Gator Bio, spearheaded the creation of Bio-layer Interferometry technology (BLI) at FortéBio with the help of Robert Zuk, Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Gator Bio, in 2001. Upon realizing the growing importance for higher productivity, greater accessibility and new performance standards, together, they worked to take BLI technology to the next level. Building on their combined and extensive experience in engineering, biochemistry and high-volume manufacturing, Gator®, for next-generation BLI analysis, was born. Now, with the team at Gator Bio, they continue to work to open new doors for today’s researchers, move medicine forward and help turn today’s visions into tomorrow’s realities for those working in science and healthcare
